Welcome

Ciao!!

Welcome to my Blog…yeah, who would have ever thought that I get onto this business as well?? It´s actually thanks to my little IT-genius brother who decided to do this for himself and in a moment of sudden kindness decided to think about me as well!!

Steffi, thank you so much for this lovely B-day present!!!

Alright then, still trying to find my way around this new program, so please be a bit patient….

Even though most of you know me, I guess I´ll have to give a brief introduction about myself….just to be polite really!! :-)
What can I say….born in Germany 27 years ago, I spent most of my childhood in Milan, Italy. I decided to move to Switzerland for my studies and a short 3 years later (after a lot of fun and some sweat) I was on my way to London with a degree and job contract in my pocket. Ah yes, for those of you who don´t know I studied Hospitality Management.
Now, 4 1/2 years later I´m still here, a few jobs and flats later I think I´m a bit more settled and truly enjoying myself. Let´s see how long this adventure will last…… (Hopefully longer, as I really don´t have much of an intention to move somewhere else in the near future).

Enough of this, lets get down to business……
As you may have noticed it was my Birthday not ver long ago (Sunday, March 26th to be precise) and as my lovely colleagues Helen and Paul happen to have their Big Day very close to mine, we decided to treat ourselves to a really nice celbration. We hired an area at one of our local pubs, the Pitcher and Piano off Trafalgar Square and invited as many close friends as possible. The turnout was brilliant and we had a really good time. Too bad that place closes shortly after 11pm (Helloooo…ever heard of late licence???), but even if we did have a bit of a camera accident (me forgetting it home and only receiving it much later thanks to my lovely flatmate Paolo and Helen being too excited about seeing some friends so she forgot to take too many pictures…) I managed to get a few together. Let´s hope this picture-uploading thing works…otherwise I´m going to scream!!!!

I´ll try to add some comments, but as I said…please be patient, it all looks a bit easier than it is! :-)

This is my ldear friend Jo….sorry darling, I know you were in a real party mood on Friday….I just couldn´t face Roundhouse after all those G &T…can´t wait to hear how the evening went there!!!

I hope to get some pictures of Helen tomorrow, but in the meantime a BIG Thank You to all that made it on Friday….
Joanne, the Stanope gang (including Miri and Crispin!!), Jo and Naomi, Lucy and Ben, Wolfi and my German Mafia( thanks again for the Safari hat…it´s just BRILLIANT!!!), Ade (all the way from Milan), Daniele ( this should prove that I do indeed live in London, what do you think???!!!!), Fats, Hana, Julia, John (Thank you for bringing Sonia along, I´m glad I finally met her!!) and the Urban Boys, the GRT gang (Simon, you´re right it sounds much cooler like this!!), Paolo and Jules and all those other nutters whose name for a reason or another I can´t remember…sorry guys, the hangover was pretty bad on Saturday…..

Helen and Paul….we should do this again!!! Let´s just come up with a reason (or not??!).

Enough chatting, I´ll catch up with you soon….. you can leave comments at the bottom of this :-)
Take care

Tine
