Liverpool

Another weekend, another story Last Friday I went to Liverpool to visit my friend Silvia, who has been living there for almost 2 years now. Shame on me, that it took that long to get some train tickets organised, but I did it!!! Yay! London Euston – Liverpool is approx 2 1/2 hours by train and really not a big deal. So … Liverpool here I come ! Couldn’t really see much on my first evening there, but still….it was really nice to get away from London for a couple of days without (for once!!) having to take a plane!! Oh bliss…

This is Liverpoool seen from the dock, being City of Culture 2008 there is lots of construction going on, but this is still a very impressive panorama. Silvia and me walked through the city centre on Saturday and reached the dock for a quick Sandwich with river view. Even the sun decided to join us for a few minutes…Nice!!!!!

The rest of the weekend was spent with lots of rain, some nice take away, a bottle of Prosecco, loooong talks, plenty of sleep, a real weird episode of “Most Haunted – Live in Transilvania” , a sweet Boxer named Charlie with a really evil look and a never-ending return journey home on a crowded train. All in all a fab but short weekend, thank you for the hospitality Silvy!! I’ll be back in the summer sometime, promised!
