It’s been a mad week
11 Jun
Heeeey, I’m still alive. Close to a miracle if you ask me
Just kidding, but it has been one busy week ( and weekend)!
I had the great pleasure to celebrate Clare and Nathan’s (combined) 54th Birthday at the Porterhouse on Friday, try out Afternoon Tea at the Grosvenor House, have my last french lesson, celebrate Janina’s Birthday at Henry J Beams on Kingsroad, have fun after-work drinks with clients and fly to Dusseldorf on Saturday for Katha’s 30′s Birthday. Oh yes, the big 3-0
We obviously could not miss that so Wolfi and I left sunny London on Saturday to reach a little less sunny but rather warm Duesseldorf.
Julia kindly offered us accomodation, so we arrived around 4pm with 2 bottles of Pimm’s ready to kick off the celebrations. After a few drinks on the balcony we headed to Oberkassel to see the birthday girl. I turned out to be a lovely evening with lots of catching up and wine

Bert and the oh-so-loved mini-fan
I wonder what caused this reaction?
In light of the really good time we had I will try to forget the very painful return to London yesterday. The hangover has disappeared by now and I have even fogotten about the very very very painful hour we had to wait for our luggage in Haethrow. That truly had to be a joke…
Katha – Happy Birthday darling!! You don’t look a day over 20, remember that
Was great to see you and thank you for the fab party!
Juliane & Jo – hope you guys to back to Berlin ok. Did you breach the 5-hour mark?
Julia – thanks again for the hospitality. It was a shame it was only so short, but I am sure we can make up the time soon. How about 10 days on the beach in Curacao?
Bert – make sure that number plate stays on
How’s the foot doing?
Tine
