HAPPY NEW YEAR!
4 Jan
…and here is to a fantastic 2008, are you ready??
It’s been another busy week, why is that not surprising me? All good though, in between all the busyness I managed to get a decent New Years Eve with a lot of giggles, plenty of wine, many many many people, gorgeous fireworks, a very smart outfit, tasty food and even some new friends. Can’t complain, really!
The first hangover of the year has arrived, made me suffer, passed and I haven’t wasted a single thought on new year’s resolutions. It can only get better…

…and after the 3rd wine tasting
Sorry, no drunken pictures. Probably better like this. New year’s in London can turn into a bit of a mission if you’re not careful. Personally, I am not the biggest fan of the oh-it’s-the-BIG-night-we-all-have-to-go-out thing, but a good party is always welcome. Nathan and I were invited to a lovely flat near Lambeth Bridge and bumped into a truly cheery crowd. Working on the 31st is actually quite nice, no traffic on the streets in the morning, the phone hardly ever rings…pure bliss. By the time we were ready to leave the office most of the area around Covent Garden and the river were already closed off and at 7pm there were already loads of people all around Trafalgar Square. The main tube stations are closed to avoid overcrowding, and most of the footpaths are closed by barriers. They plan it quite well, but if you seriously plan to reach the river and watch the firework prepare yourself for a lot of people, a really cosy atmosphere and hours of wait to make sure you have a real good spot. It’s worth it though…we watched it from Lambeth Bridge and it was quite impressive.
And I even have my own proper Christmas Picture – with tree!!!!!
All the best
