Oh Well Its Been Over A Month Since My Last Entry Please Accept My Apologiesits Been All A Bit Mental And I Was Witho

21 Sep

Oh well, it’s been over a month since my last entry. Please accept my apologies….it’s been all a bit mental and I was without my adorable laptop for a bit (had to send it off to Laptop-Hospital). You do know me well and can therefore deduct that I am totally helpless without it!!! How very sad….. Anyhooo, the baby is back home and all is well, so let’s see if we can do a quick summary of the last couple of weeks. Where to start??

Of course, the fab BBQ we had in Sacombe Park, somehwere in the middle of Hertfordshire. Please don’t ask me where that is, fact is though it’s an absolute gem. A big THANK YOU to Crispin and his hospitality, I believe eveyone agrees with me, that we had a fantastic day out in the countryside! The cherry on the cake for the trip to Sacombe was our PINK Limo, wich caused lots auf laughs and a fair amount of weird looks on the way out of London.

What more do I need to say? It is veeeeeeery pink indeed. The bubbly we got as part of the deal was uncommentable, but it did the trick of feeling very special. Here are a few pikkies from the BBQ itself, the day could not have been more perfect!

Helen and her adopted poodle. There were 7 of them, one more adorable than the other… Crispin had to count them before we left, as most of us thought about hiding one in our bags and taking them back home :) Be reassured none went missing.

I’m not sure why Nathan (the one on the right) looks so grumpy. Could have been the hangover??? :) Well, Helen hold it together brilliantly with something like 2 hours (???? H please correct me if I’m wrong) of sleep the night before. So, loads of beers and wine later we returned to rainy London….

Rest assured…we’re already planning the next one!!!!

The next day (it was August Bank Holiday) Clare, Nathan and myself went to explore the Notting Hill Carneval, which starts at my doorstep. So…another sunny day and we’re on our way trying to catch at least a bit of one of the progressions. Check this out, the walking-clock-man was among the normal parade and he surely was enjoying the attention he was getting :)

Absolutely brilliant, if you ask me :) After a little wander about we decided to go back to the Shakespeare Pub and enjoy a few refreshing drinks. A long long long long long long time later we were dancing the night away and stumbled home after 11 (I know it’s not that late….but try drinking non-stop since 4pm!!!!). Paolo was not too amused to get 4 totally drunk people falling in through the flat door while he was stone sober. Oh well….life can be unfair.

This is Clare, Shane and myself shortly before we left the Pub. Perhaps I should admit at this point that I ended up doing some serious pole dancing in there… better admit it now before Clare leaves a comment and I have to deny everything :) I’m very pleased indeed that I was the one with the camera…so NO photographic proof. Fantastic.

Enough of the carnival, it was hilarious!!!

Just a few more pictures and I’m done for today….. Where are we now, of course: Mia’s Birthday!!

Unfortunately no picture of the Birthday girl yet as I need to play around with the picture…they’re all with red eyes!!!!

That’s it from me today, have a lovely remaining afternoon. I better get back to work….lots to do as always. Best of Greetings from the fishbowl office in Amadeus House. The sun is shining and I don’t even have a window! Take care

John & Sonia´s Wedding – The Reid Rooms 12th August 2006

13 Aug

Yep, back again….

I mentioned a wedding earlier on. :-) Yessss……yesterday we gathered at the Reid Rooms in Essex for a special celebration. And what a celebration that has been! Let´s just forget about the good old English weather, which decided to be on the cold and wet side and focus on the happy couple : John and Sonia. :-)

The journey there was a bit of a mission, as it´s literally in the middle of nowhere, but we arrived with 5 spare minutes to the ceremony…Fiuuuuuu, that was a close one!

So we had: a great location, a over-grinning groom, a stunning bride, a bunch of friends and family and lots of booze, food and music. I’m sure the cocktail couldn’t have been any better. And, here we go with the first picture …..

John (doesn’t he look like the Cheshire Cat????) and Jo

One little shot I got of the happy couple, that’s the problem when you’re short…..everyone is taller than you and the only things you capture on camera are the wrong heads!!!!! :) Hopefully I’ll get some more in due time.

The guys from Urban. In line: Stu, Chris, Perry and Brandon

Chris and Hana

We had a little vase “accident” so the flowers had to be recycled….good solution, hey???

Paul & myself

Grooving Hana :)

After 4!!! chips and butties (apologies if I get the spelling wrong…) Paul still did not appear to have enough. May I remind the participants of this photo of the topic we were discussing at this point?? Hana, it actually continued all the way home in the cab….to the great amusement of the driver. Thank god were were drunk, otherwise it could have been very embarassing!!!!!!! Ha ha ha!!! Loved the chat guys!!!

Just got a last minute addition…..not that it has a lot to do with the wedding, but the picture was taken there. Ta daaaaaaa. Tine = rabbit. Have a laugh on me!!!
